The first post is the video explaining the responsibilities of a Set Decorator as created by a committed group of Union Set Decorators from IATSE Local 44. Despite the anti-union rhetoric of our political leaders, the unions of the Hollywood Craftspeople are growing strong. By explaining the contributions of the Set Decorator to every project, we proudly join the #METOO movement by expressing the discrepancies in our salaries compared to the salaries earned in the more male dominated crafts. I dedicate this first post to all of my talented, passionate, quirky, OCD, colleagues around the world who are the grossly underpaid unsung hero’s of production.
